Wall lighting can be both functional and stylish, adding character to any room in the house. From lighting dark hallways to providing valuable task lighting, wall sconces brighten our lives in a variety of ways.
Indoors, wall sconces should be installed 60in (5ft) from the floor.
Outside, sconces should be installed in relation to the door. When one lantern is used, place the light at approximately one-third the height of the door. When two lanterns are used on either side of the door, install them at approximately one-fourth the height of the door. In either case, make sure the the visual height is around one half the height of the door. Bulb filaments should be about 66" above the threshold.
